"Chart a course through berry, bloom, and caramel."
The Story
In the world of the Australian Shepherd, the "Blue" coat is a signature of elegance and spirit. Blue Horizon captures that same striking beauty, hailing from the birthplace of coffee itself: Ethiopia. At dizzying altitudes of over 2,000 meters, this coffee is grown on small family farms in the Oromia zone and processed through local cooperatives where coffee is more than a crop—it is a cornerstone of culture.
Just as a navigator looks to the horizon to find their way, this Sidamo lot offers a clear, bright profile that guides you through a sea of floral and fruit-forward complexity. It is a tribute to the 15 million farmers and workers whose heritage is steeped in every bean.
The Profile
This is a Natural and Sun-Dried coffee, a traditional method that allows the bean to soak up the intense sweetness of the cherry as it dries under the Ethiopian sun. The result is a delicate, tea-like body with a "Blue Horizon" of layered flavors that shift as the cup cools.

Why We Love It
Blue Horizon is the "Agility Champion" of our collection. It’s light on its feet, incredibly vibrant, and full of surprising turns. While many coffees lean into heavy earthiness, this Sidama stays high and bright with its signature berry and bloom notes. It’s a sophisticated, specialty-grade experience for those who want to "chart a course" away from the ordinary and explore the delicate, floral side of the specialty coffee world.
Captain’s Tip: To fully appreciate the delicate floral notes and bright berry acidity, we highly recommend brewing this as a Pour-Over (V60 or Chemex). The paper filter allows the Local Heirloom nuances to shine through with crystal clarity.
