In this region, the humid microclimates encourage slow cherry development, resulting in a coffee with an earthy depth that hits like a bold sea breeze. Hand-pulped and fermented locally, this coffee represents a long tradition of community agriculture and soil stewardship. It’s a brew that honors both the hardworking spirit of the Sumatran people and the adventurous soul of the loyal Shepherd. 

 The Profile
This lot is classified as GR1 DP (Grade 1, Double Picked), meaning it has been meticulously hand-sorted twice to ensure only the finest beans make it to your mug. Using the traditional Giling Basah (Wet-Hulled) method—where coffee is hulled at a higher moisture content—this bean develops the hallmark syrupy body and deep spice notes unique to the Indonesian islands.
